Community Projects

As a church we are committed to serving out local community and beyond. We want to show the love of God in both word and action to everyone around us. We are therefore involved in a number of community projects that aim to help and change people's lives for the better. 

PCC Community OutreachThe Purley Cross Centre provides advice, information and training for the community. The centre is based at PBC and is open Monday to Friday.
Renew23 Community OutreachThe Renew 23 Wellbeing Cafe is open on Thursdays 10am-2pm. It is a place where 'its ok not to be ok'. 
Purley Counselling Service ComThe Purley Counselling Service provides caring, professional, confidential counselling to anyone who is in need. Appointments are made for daytime and evening. Fees are on a sliding scale based on income and circumstances. 
Purley Food Hub Community OutrOur local food bank, Purley Food Hub helps local people in crisis who are without food. Set up by Purley & Kenley Churches Together, PBC plays an active role in supporting this charity. 
The Link Community OutreachThe Link is a weekly drop-in for homeless and vulnerably-housed adults. PBC run this ministry from East Croydon United Reformed Church on Thursday evenings.
Young at HeartThe Young at Heart Group provides afternoon tea events: Tuesday 2-3.30pm once a month. Do you live in Purley? Are you feeling lonely? Do you want to meet new people? Would you like to come to a series of monthly afternoon teas for retired people? We offer conversation and friendship. Spring Programme 2022: 25 January - 22 February - 29 March - 26 April.
