Active Adults

This could be your chance to improve your skills and maybe indulge in your passion. Here are some opportunities to meet with other like-minded people and be encouraged:

For more information contact the specific group or enquire via the Church Office.

Aperture Photography Club

Fortnightly (1st and 3rd Monday of each month) , Mondays 8pm
Full details are at http://aperture-club.co.uk/
The church regularly hosts photography exhibitions which provide opportunity for all local photographers to showcase their work and for everyone to enjoy the photographs on display.

Art Club

Weekly, Thursdays 2pm (term time)

This is for those who enjoy painting with watercolours and would like to spend time developing their skills with other like-minded people. All skill levels are welcome. Individuals find time painting alongside other people to be very beneficial - exchanging ideas and experience often means they are able to improve their skills at a faster pace than simply painting on their own.

Knitwits

Mondays 9.30-11.30am
£1 a week includes refreshments

All standards of knitters are welcome. This is for anyone who likes to knit, natter and drink coffee. And if you can't yet knit, we're happy to show you. We'll even lend you knitting needles, wool and patterns to begin with. Come along and knit anything you choose - for yourself, friends, family or charity.

Tennis Club

Purley Baptist Church Tennis Club provides a place for people to play tennis and enjoy fellowship. The club has over 50 playing members, many from the church, but also some from other local churches. We meet at the St Davids School Grounds in Woodcote Valley Road, Purley. The club caters for all abilities. Families and children are well catered for.

Play takes place most Summer evenings, all day on Saturdays (afternoon Social being especially popular), most Sunday afternoons and on Bank Holidays. Evening group coaching is scheduled in the Summer. Tournaments are run throughout the summer, including American Tournaments, Club Championships and a Family Cup. During the Winter there are fixed fours on Saturday mornings and some play on Saturdays.

We have an active social committee and various events throughout the year. The New Year Party, Progressive Supper and Finals Day Meal are some of the highlights.

Bring your own racket, we provide balls. Predominantly white clothing please.
