THE LINK Homeless Drop-In
At: East Croydon United Reformed Church, Addiscombe Grove, East Croydon CR0 5LP
The Link was set up in 2010 as a weekly evening drop-in for rough sleepers and vulnerably housed people in Croydon and now hosts 30-40 people each week. We provide our guests with hot drinks and food, table tennis, pool and other table games, and a safe and warm environment where friendships and trust can be built. We give out sleeping bags, blankets, coats and other items as they are donated to us.
Many of our guests have lost everything; their homes, their possessions and many of their family relationships. We count it a privilege to be there for them each week, to welcome them and show them that someone cares.
If you, or someone you meet, is in need of this service, please feel free to direct them to The Link – we are open every week of the year except for the week between Christmas and New Year and the third week in April.
If you would like to support this work either by donating items (hats, gloves, scarves, socks and pants are always welcome), giving financially or finding out about volunteering opportunities, please contact the Church Office. Please note that because of the potential vulnerability of some of our guests, volunteers go through a vetting process.
